Responsibility

Technology can also help students to be more responsible inside and out of the classroom. Students who own or borrow school devices gives them the opportunity to improve their decision making skills as well as taking ownership of a valuable device.

Here are ways students can be responsible inside and out of school:

1. Setting reminders – it is important for students to learn when important assignments are due. Students can set reminders on their devices to help them to remember important dates throughout the school year. Examples that include: tests, exams, quizzes, and school activities.
2. Communication – students can stay in touch with their teachers and classmates while using technology. Students can ask their teacher certain questions about assignments and know about upcoming events. Communication is key in the classroom.
3. Respecting – Students can learn about taking care of school property by handling each device with care. It is important for students to learn the basis of responsibility early in life by respecting someone else’s property.
